Priority Electric

We have an old house and detached garage that was fed by an overhead powerline from the street. Unlike a house that is close to the street, in this case the overhead line carried the high primary voltage (14,400 volts) and stretched across our pasture. That powerline was getting old. In fact, it showed evidence of 3 past breaks and repairs. With horses in the pasture and plans to build an arena under it, we had to get this powerline replaced with an underground line – and the sooner the better. This presented more than the average complications as compared with a lot of electrical jobs, partly due to the age of the house and its electrical panels, requiring multiple visits over multiple days replacing multiple panels, and weaving it all in with our schedule and the power company’s schedule. I am an electrical engineer, retired after 50 years of experience, so I have seen my share of jobs like this. A lot of unexpected roadblocks can occur during these projects. Andy took it on and did a great job – clean, smooth, and no headaches.

Andy came out same day that I called and he assessed the situation and fixed it all up. Andy came out right away to figure out what was happening with an outside breaker. He inspected and found what the problem was and fixed it quickly and showed me exactly what was happening. Quick response, dependable, fairly priced, experienced and knowledgeable! Andy came out and reworked our old fluorescent kitchen outlet into LED lighting by by-passing the ballast. I will have another electrical job in the future, and I will def call Priority Electric again! Thank you, Andy!

A squirrel got into our attic and chewed through a few wires. The squirrel had left of its own accord. Andy fixed the wiring and blocked up the ingress point.

Andy with Priority Electric did an excellent job helping us with an issue we were having with our exterior porch lights. The lights kept tripping the circuit, and Andy took the time to carefully troubleshoot the problem. He discovered that a small animal had built a nest and chewed through some of the wiring. Andy repaired the issue, made sure everything was working safely, and cleaned everything up when he was finished. He was very personable, professional, and easy to work with. It’s honestly so hard to find a good electrician, and we’re really happy we found Michael and his team. They helped us with lighting in our workshop and did a great job. Super professional, easy to work with, responsive, and got everything done quickly. Michael is licensed and insured, which is always a plus. Andy Whitley of Priority Electric was an absolute joy to work with. Everything you could ask from an electrical contractor from start to finish on diagnosing and repairing my problem. One faulty outlet had knocked out the power to a whole room in my home. Andy called back within 10 minutes on initial contact message. (Even his voicemail was pleasant and personable!) We set appointment pending completion of another larger job he was working on and he called back that day to confirm he would indeed be available for the following morning as we had originally discussed. He showed up 15 minutes early and got straight to work. Process of elimination found the problem location and fortunately it was easy access and a quick fix replacement of wall socket. He helped return the furniture to its correct place, leaving the room exactly as he found it. Andy was prompt, personable and efficient with excellent communication and reasonable charge for the work completed. I would highly recommend Andy to take care of any electrical project or issue. Andy has done some beautiful work at 2 of my homes over the last couple of weeks. He has installed indoor and outdoor lighting, added exterior outlets, repaired lights that were not installed properly, moved outlets, replaced all outdated hardwired smoke detectors, installed a new ceiling fan and so many other small things that were important to me, like changing light bulbs that I can't reach etc...
